The objectives of this contest are to provide acknowledgment for the advertising and promotional achievements of the suburban and community newspaper industry and, by such acknowledgment, to stimulate even higher standards of excellence throughout the industry. This contest also serves to focus attention on suburban and community publications and their unique position among modern communications media, thereby contributing to the prestige and credibility of suburban and community newspapers and their digital properties with the reading public, advertising community, and the newspaper industry in general.

Online Platform is Back this Year!
Local Media Association is again teaming up with NewspaperToolbox to provide an online entry platform for the 2013 Advertising and Promotions Contest. The online contest entry system is designed to make the process of entering contests quick and easy. It also allows Local Media Association to electronically archive all entries and make them available for review. Who Should Enter
Publishers, Advertising Directors, Retail Advertising Managers, Classified Managers and Marketing/Promotions Directors.
This contest is open to Local Media Association members and non-members. All entries must have been published in your newspaper(s) between April 1, 2012 – April 30, 2013.
All online entries must be submitted by end of day, Friday, July 5, 2013.
The submission of manual ‘mail-in’ entries will still be accepted and must be postmarked by Friday, July 5, 2013 and received at LMA Headquarters no later than July 8, 2013. Mail-in entries postmarked after July 5, 2013 may not be accepted.
