Word in Black Education Reporter
Rashaad Thomas is the education reporter for Word In Black. He is a United States Air Force Veteran who lives with his family in South Phoenix, Arizona. He is an award-winning essayist and poet. He was the recipient of the Helen Plummer MacDowell fellow of 2017. He was named Best Poet by the Phoenix New Times in 2019.
