Please note: These examples of “thank-you” messages (which appear near the top of email receipts that are sent to donors) are taken from actual Givebutter campaigns. They are provided here just to give an idea of tone and ways to accurately describe your Local News Fund campaign when addressing your community. We strongly suggest that you write your own thank you message, guided by these examples. LMF will review all campaign content to ensure it complies with program rules and our obligations as a 501(c)(3).

You may choose to add…
If you want to add any kind of call-to-action to the Thank You message, such as an invitation to subscribe to your publication or an e-newsletter, that’s possible — with some limitations.
The Thank You message supports very limited HTML — text styling such as bold or italic, and links. Images are not supported. If you wish to make any changes or additions to the default language, please submit them in HTML format in the Google Form field for Thank You text.
Example of how to include a link using HTML:
Now is the time for all good people to include <a href=”{full link URL}”>links to other sites</a>.
Replace {full link URL} with the complete URL (example: https://www.localmedia.org/) of the web page you want to link. In the email message itself, that will look like this:
Now is the time for all good people to include links to other sites.
