This week, Columbia Journalism School announced 24 Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program fellows for the 2022-23 academic year — including Andrew Ramsammy, chief content and collaboration officer for Local Media Association.
The fellows represent some of journalism’s most innovative and influential leaders.
With a sponsorship from Knight Foundation, Ramsammy will explore new revenue models and business structures that can accelerate digital transformation and sustainability for ethnic-owned media. The fellows will be supported virtually as they accelerate their projects over 18 weeks between January and May 2022.
“I’m proud to be representing Local Media Association,” Ramsammy said. “This fellowship opportunity comes at a critical moment for me and LMA, and my hope is to share back with our industry pathways forward that allow for an expansion for more publishers of color in local journalism.”
