Each year Local Media Association recognizes the best digital projects and initiatives happening at local news organizations across various categories such as Best Reader Revenue Strategy, Best Local Website, Best Virtual Event, Best Branded Content Strategy and more. It is a highly competitive contest designed to showcase both large and small media companies for their strategic and innovative work aimed at impacting the communities they serve.
In 2024, a panel of highly qualified judges selected Digital Innovation Award winners that embraced diversity and inclusion, sought out successful external partnerships and fostered internal culture change, all with a focus on engaging their local audiences and generating revenue to support journalistic missions.
