This LMII report is going to be a little different in that it’s intended to be an informal guide to accompany you in your podcasting journey, should you choose to embark on one in 2026 — and you should. The monetization opportunities are only growing, and they’re not necessarily tied to the podcast itself. For example, podcasts could be a differentiator in your branded content strategy.
Gone are the days when podcasts have to be sonic works of art. Podcasts are but one of many formats for news and content consumption. In a world where anybody can create a podcast, our collective expectation for engineered perfection has vanished, too.
Besides, there are all sorts of new platforms, tools and techniques to make this process as easy as possible and to make your podcast sound (and look) as good as possible — and that is what this report is all about.
