Founder and Managing Director, Studio 8316

Iván Adaime is a senior media executive with more than two decades of experience leading news organizations through growth, disruption, and structural transformation. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Studio 8316, where he partners with media companies, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations on executive initiatives focused on revenue development, digital transformation, and long-term organizational sustainability.
Iván previously served as President and CEO of Impremedia, the largest U.S. Hispanic news and lifestyle media company. During his tenure, he led the organization through sustained profitability, operational discipline, and strategic expansion, culminating in the successful sale of the business to a private equity–backed media group and its post-acquisition integration. Earlier, as Executive Vice President of Digital, he built and scaled Impremedia’s digital business from the ground up, driving exponential audience growth and establishing the company’s core digital revenue engines across direct sales and programmatic advertising.
Earlier in his career, Iván held senior leadership roles at La Nación, one of Latin America’s most influential news organizations, and at AOL, where he worked at the forefront of digital media during a formative era for online journalism and audience development.
Iván has also played an active role in industry governance, serving as Vice President of the Board of the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP), and brings a strong academic foundation in media and new technologies from more than a decade of teaching and lecturing on digital culture and emerging platforms.
He brings to the board a seasoned operator’s perspective on local media economics, governance, and mission alignment. Iván is based in New York City and has worked extensively with media organizations across the United States and Latin America.
