Swan Lee

Swan Lee (Shawanna Lee) is a nationally recognized media executive, event producer and creative strategist who brings over two decades of expertise to her new role as events manager at Word In Black. Known for her visionary leadership and excellence in production, Swan has earned a reputation as one of the country’s leading voices in event planning, experiential design and brand storytelling. As the current chief revenue officer of Dallas Weekly, she has been instrumental in reshaping revenue models and amplifying Black media through innovative integrations of journalism, business and culture.

Swan is also the founder and CEO of Swan7 Productions and Swan7 Entertainment, both of which have produced high-profile events across the globe for clients spanning corporations, record labels, nonprofits and artists. Her career is marked by a unique ability to merge creativity and commerce, offering end-to-end event solutions with precision and passion. Originally from Champaign, Illinois, she holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Dallas. In addition to her professional achievements, Swan is a dedicated servant-leader, serving as vice president of Inspired to Help, a nonprofit focused on youth and underserved communities. Her work continues to be driven by faith, purpose and an unwavering commitment to elevating the Black experience through powerful, community-centered storytelling.
